The New TokenSight UI is Live!
The new TokenSight UI represents a significant update to our platform. Our goal was to address existing issues and enhance the entire platform with features that provide greater utility to both our existing and new users. In this blog post, we’ll explore the thought process behind the update, discuss the problems the new UI solves, and highlight the new features.
Why did we release the new version?
There were compelling reasons for releasing a new version of TokenSight. While many users appreciated the old version, we recognized the need for significant improvements to stay competitive in the rapidly evolving DEX trading crypto environment.
Two major issues with the old version were its outdated theme and complex navigation and interaction patterns. After researching other UIs and user preferences, we confirmed these shortcomings and decided to address them.
Another crucial feature we lacked was the ability to move funds between chains within the app. With support for 12 chains, users had to deposit or onramp funds to specific chains for trading. Moving funds between chains required leaving the app, creating unnecessary friction.
We also identified the need for a centralized discovery page where users could find new trading opportunities, rather than relying solely on external sources.
These factors drove the creation of our new UI. It resolves the issues we faced and introduces many new features that enhance the overall user experience.
It’s worth noting that we retained the backend and trading engine from the previous version, ensuring that the core trading mechanics remain unchanged.
Problems Solved by the New UI
The new UI makes the entire app faster, more organized, and holistic. This, in turn, provides much more utility to our users.
Specifically, the new UI improves the app from both functional and non-functional perspectives.
Non-functional Improvements
New Theme
The major non-functional change is the new theme. It’s a complete redesign, featuring a new color scheme and typography. The elements are also different. This new theme is much more modern and appealing compared to its predecessor.
While the previous theme created mixed reactions, the new theme has been universally well-received.
Other Improvements
Beyond the new theme, many pages have undergone layout changes. For instance, the trading page has been simplified into a two-column layout, with Token Info now placed above the chart.
We’ve consolidated the Dashboard and wallet pages into a single, comprehensive portfolio page.
Functional Changes
We’ve rebuilt the app hierarchy from the ground up. It now features a global chain selector and a global search bar. This new top-down approach allows for easier navigation.
Global Chain Selector
The global chain selector sits at the top level of the hierarchy. Data on every page is displayed based on the selected chain.
We made the important design decision to display pages per chain rather than mixing content. This approach is simpler and leads to less confusion, especially considering that traders are still very chain-conscious.
While the idea of chain abstraction is appealing, our industry isn’t quite there yet. Users are still very aware of which chains host their trading tokens, and “chain” remains part of the common terminology. Moreover, there’s still no unified way to achieve chain abstraction for both EVM and non-EVM chain types.
Global Search Bar
The search bar is now global, allowing users to search for new coins from anywhere in the app.
Previously, this functionality was limited to the trade page.
Wallet Dropdown
Users can now access their wallets globally via the wallet dropdown selector. This enables quick viewing of the selected wallet and its holdings, as well as wallet creation and management — all without navigating through multiple pages.
The New Features
Below are the major new features we released with the new UI. Each represents a separate page.
Token Discovery
The Token Discovery page serves as a central hub where users can discover new tokens. The Discover page offers four categories, each with its own subcategories.
Our goal with the Discovery page is to provide users with high-signal data they can easily act upon. The data is curated automatically using proprietary logic.
For each subcategory, a list of tokens is displayed, and each list can contain different fields (i.e., different table columns).
While the data is already filtered during the curation process, the Discovery page also includes filter options for more granular control.
The Token Discovery page offers additional features, such as the Quick Buy feature, which enables one-click token purchases.

The Bridge
The Bridge page allows users to transfer funds between chains with just a few clicks. This feature is embedded within the app and integrates with our supported wallets, making it possible to bridge assets between chains without requiring users to input a receiver address or connect an external wallet.
We designed the Bridge page to be user-friendly, with all unnecessary information abstracted away.
TokenSight offers one of the easiest and smoothest bridge interfaces in the industry, empowering users to transact on multiple chains effortlessly without leaving the app.
This bridge feature is powered by HoudiniSwap.

The Portfolio Page
The Portfolio page provides a comprehensive overview of your assets and allows for easy wallet management. TokenSight supports multiple wallets, and each wallet can hold assets across 12 chains. Managing these assets efficiently is crucial to avoiding a cluttered view.
The Portfolio page solves this by displaying assets in a compact and organized manner.
Additionally, the Portfolio page allows users to create or import new wallets and deposit or withdraw funds.

Improved Usage Patterns
With the recent updates, the app has a new look and feel. But that’s not all — the app’s usage patterns have also evolved. The Token Discovery page is now the default landing page, making it easier for users to find tokens they want to trade.
This change provides a more intuitive way of navigating the platform.
What’s Next?
With these updates, the TokenSight platform is now a stable, reliable, and high-performance DEX trading platform. We’ve elevated the overall UX of the platform to the next level.
This serves as a foundation for everything we plan to build in the future. What comes next is a new chapter for the TokenSight team and community.
Our primary focus now is on increasing daily active users and trading volume on the platform.
After more than a year of development, we finally have a platform we’re proud of in many aspects. However, we’re far from done. We have many more features to implement to fully realize our vision, and we must stay relevant and ahead of the market.
The next phase is divided into two parts.
First, we will focus on maintaining and improving the platform. This doesn’t mean adding marginal features that offer little value.
The second and more exciting part is a new direction — one that isn’t just a marginal improvement but a 0-to-1 feature built on top of the current architecture that will spark consumer interest. This will be something big.
Our main goal is to provide users with utility in a novel way, improve their daily trading experience, and help them increase their PnLs.
